You Can Get a Loan

For 3 years now the National Media has continued to tell a National Story without reminding us that real estate and many other things involved in the economy are local in nature. The latest item that is not true here locally is that the credit markets have dried up and that there is no money for buyers to buy homes. THAT IS NOT TRUE!!!!

If you have a job, good credit and money for a down payment, you can get a loan. Please help us pass the word. Although it is true that all is not well with the economy, it will not get any better if we are paralyzed by information that is not entirely accurate.

  • BB&T has a fantastic program-BB&T CHIP program that offers 100% financing, all on one loan, no PMI, and a great rate (credit score required is 660 and there is an income limit on the program.....). It's a 30 Year Fixed program. BB&T is still solid and wants to help clients obtain their dream of homeownership.--Ann Adams, BB&T Mortgage Loan Officer
  • Southern Select CCU stands ready to assist your clients with their mortgage financing. Credit unions have benefited from the past few weeks of banking woes, and we're proud to stand up and be recognized!  $30 is all it takes to become a member/owner of Southern Select and eligible for all of the services we offer. Willard McCombs, Southern Select Community Credit Union
  • You are so right! We are having a record month with rates down. Closing loans within 15 days or less. If we can assist you, please let us know. Stacey Pierce, Castle & Cooke Mortgage

State of the Region Summit

On Thursday, October 23, over 100 community business leaders came together to hear from political leaders in Cabarrus County.  The event was held at the Embassy Suites and was held by the Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Speakers included Senator Robin Hayes, Mayors Scott Padgett, Tim Haigler, Bob Misenheimer and Troy Barnhardt, County Commission Chair Jay White.  In addition Pat McCrory who is running for Governor spoke.  Beverly Purdue was unable to attend.  Leaders in new positions including Diane Snyder, Marcus Smith, Ryan McDaniels and Barry Shepherd spoke on their roles within their organizations and what the future holds.

Many issues were discussed and participants had an opportunity to ask the speakers questions as well as share ideas.  It was a great event and very timely as the election time is upon us.

A special thank you to the Chamber for hosting the event so that the membership can be knowledgeable and learn more about the leaders in our region and state.
